Cela s\u2019explique notamment par le fait que les mod\u00e8les de recherche actuels, comme les cultures de cellules 2D<sup>1<\/sup>, les greffes de tumeurs sur des souris<sup>2<\/sup> ou les organo\u00efdes<sup>3<\/sup> cultiv\u00e9s en laboratoire, ne reproduisent pas pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u2019environnement des tumeurs, qui peut influencer la fa\u00e7on dont celles-ci r\u00e9agissent aux m\u00e9dicaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les <strong>mod\u00e8les 3D de tumeurs<\/strong>, des structures cr\u00e9\u00e9es en laboratoire qui imitent l\u2019environnement tridimensionnel des tumeurs, <strong>montrent<\/strong> plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment <strong>comment les cellules tumorales interagissent avec leur environnement<\/strong>. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un facteur important, car de nombreux m\u00e9dicaments contre le cancer ciblent justement ces interactions. Cependant, il manque encore des caract\u00e9ristiques essentielles \u00e0 ces mod\u00e8les 3D, comme des cellules de soutien et des vaisseaux sanguins, indispensables pour la croissance de la tumeur et l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des tests de m\u00e9dicaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lena Neufeld et son laboratoire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Tel-Aviv en Isra\u00ebl ont utilis\u00e9 une bio-imprimante pour cr\u00e9er un mod\u00e8le de tumeur en 3D, une structure d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en laboratoire qui imite cet environnement tridimensionnel complexe des tumeurs. Ils ont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le de tumeur en 3D avec une bioarchitecture tr\u00e8s similaire aux tumeurs naturelles. <s><\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce mod\u00e8le a pu imiter l\u2019architecture complexe du cancer et sa croissance, et constitue ainsi une <strong>alternative<\/strong> <strong>pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable aux mod\u00e8les animaux<\/strong>. Il peut servir de plate-forme de test pour de nouveaux traitements, en assurant davantage de pr\u00e9cision que les cultures 2D.
