{"id":12116,"date":"2025-04-10T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iph-multisite.berta-bewegt.ch\/?p=12116"},"modified":"2026-03-03T09:43:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T08:43:20","slug":"use-of-data-as-a-key-to-more-targeted-prevention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.interpharma.ch\/en\/blog\/use-of-data-as-a-key-to-more-targeted-prevention\/","title":{"rendered":"Use of data as a key to more targeted prevention"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Those who use health data intelligently are able to identify risk factors early, evaluate the success of preventive measures and thus, based on evidence, invest in better care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-is-data-use-so-crucial\"><strong>Why is data use so crucial?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Identification of avoidable risks:<\/strong> Modern analytical methods can be used to expose correlations between specific living conditions, behavioral patterns and the development of diseases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Better evaluation of measures:<\/strong> From vaccination monitoring to the early detection of cardiac disorders \u2013 if data is collected and analyzed in a standardized way, it becomes obvious more quickly which prevention programs really work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interventions tailored to the target group:<\/strong> In contrast to a scattergun approach, data allows decision-makers to focus on those areas with the greatest risks \u2013 whether identified by region, age, gender or certain social determinants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-example-project-ai4healthycities\"><strong>Example project: AI4HealthyCities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An excellent example of how data can be used to support public health is the Novartis Foundation\u2019s <strong>AI4HealthyCities<\/strong> program.
